Terms of Service

Last updated: June 5, 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using SiteWire ("Service"), operated by Wolf Codes Inc. ("Wolf Codes", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SiteWire provides access to Canadian municipal building permit data, contractor intelligence, and related analytics. Data is sourced from publicly available government open data portals under Open Government Licences (OGL) that permit commercial use with attribution.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Wolf Codes is not liable for losses caused by unauthorized account access due to your failure to safeguard your password. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Free Trial

SiteWire offers a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start. One free trial per person or organization. At the end of the trial the service becomes read-only unless you subscribe. Trial accounts inactive for more than 60 days after expiry may be permanently deleted with 7 days' notice by email.

5. Acceptable Use

You may use SiteWire data for lawful commercial and non-commercial purposes, including lead generation, market research, and business intelligence. You may not:

  • Resell or redistribute raw data dumps without a data licensing agreement
  • Scrape or bulk-extract beyond your plan's API rate limits
  • Use the Service to harass individuals identified in permit data
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to our systems

6. Payments & Cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Price changes take effect at the next renewal with 30 days' notice by email.

7. Refunds

Because SiteWire offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, we do not issue refunds on paid subscriptions as a general policy. Exceptions are made at our sole discretion in cases of:

  • Billing errors (duplicate charges or wrong amounts charged)
  • Service outages exceeding 24 consecutive hours within a paid period, prorated to the affected days
  • Annual subscribers who request a refund within 48 hours of their first annual charge

To request a refund, email [email protected] with your account email and a description of the issue. We respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer.

8. Data Accuracy

We source data directly from official municipal portals and aim to refresh daily. We make no warranty that data is error-free, complete, or up to the minute. Do not rely solely on SiteWire data for legal, financial, or compliance decisions.

9. API Access

API access is subject to the rate limits and quotas of your plan; exceeding them returns HTTP 429. The data-accuracy disclaimer and limitation of liability apply in full to all data retrieved via the API. You are responsible for any product or service you build on SiteWire data and for independently verifying that data before relying on or redistributing it. Bulk extraction or resale of raw data dumps requires a separate written data-licensing agreement. We provide the API on a commercially reasonable-effort basis with no uptime SLA unless stated in a separate signed agreement.

10. Intellectual Property

The SiteWire platform, interfaces, and aggregated datasets (excluding underlying open-government data) are owned by Wolf Codes Inc. Underlying permit data remains subject to the original Open Government Licence terms and is attributed to the respective municipal data portals.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, Wolf Codes' total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of British Columbia.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Service after notice of changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered account holders at least 14 days in advance.
